About Myself

Hey there, my name is John Gonzalez. I'm based in California, and some of my current interests include reading, coding, playing the guitar, cooking, and learning languages. From a young age, I had an interest in learning about different topics and picking up new skills. It was my curious personality that helped me discover data analytics.

Data science was not the career path I expected to take when I began attending university. I explored diverse subjects during my first two years at UC San Diego, which ultimately lead me to cognitive science. Cognitive science is an interdisciplinary approach to study how the brain works. What interested me the most about this major was the the opportunity to take courses in psychology, neuroscience, and data science. Of all the subjects I took courses in, I found the data science courses the most fascinating. This strong interest led me to specialize in machine learning.

My passion for data science motivates me to find practical, data-driven solutions to problems and improve my skill set by continuously learning.
